Dear Members,
A few members of the Association had a meeting with Dr. A.K. Ambasht, Member Secretary, Delhi Pollution Control Committee on 29th April 2010, to seek clarifications on certain issues concerning the DPCC (Delhi Pollution Control Committee) norms for restaurants ORANGE Category.
Installation of ETP
Under Item 5 relating to installation of ETP a reference has been made to the notification dated 4th November 2009
issued by the Ministry of Environment and Forest, Government of India, by which the environment / protection rules 1986 have been amended to the effect that a restaurant with a minimum sitting capacity of 36 and above are required to comply with the effluent standards prescribed therein. With the issue of this notification the criteria making a distinction between small and large eating houses, restaurants etc. prescribed in the office order dated 11th October 2000 issued by the then Chairman DPCC, seem to be no longer valid. The forms, affidavit fee structure and guidelines for filling up the consent application are available at DPCC website (
www.dpcc.delhigovt.nic.in) and at the DPCC Office, ISBT, Kashmere Gate, Delhi.
Members are requested to take immediate action to submit application for consent to operate / establish to the Member Secretary DPCC.
For any clarification with regard to the above amendment or any other issue related to DPCC, members may send the same in writing to the Association.
